  • Higher Education Institutions DED Overview Assessment Report:

This report follows an assessment of the performance of 21 HEIs in relation to the Disability Equality Duty, conducted by the Disability Rights Commission. The report highlights effective ways that HEIs have sought to involve students and the improvements that are required. The DED Report

  • Quality Assurance Agency Approaches to Student Engagement:

Inclusive technology

  • JISC TechDis Service:

Provides advice and information on using inclusive and assistive technologies in improving the experience of disabled students, including a series of step-by-step guides (Accessibility Essentials). JISC TechDis Service

Disability Equality Scheme

  • Shaping your Disability Equality Scheme:  

Help from the ECU to create your institution's first Disability Equality Scheme (DES). It includes helpful references to the DRC's Code of Practice and other public bodies' DESs.  While it doesn't provide a model Scheme, its suggested structure can be adapted to fit the culture of your own institution.
